Showcase - "FLY-401"

Owner: 401Javelin
Make: Amercian Motors - AMC Model: Javelin Category: MUSCLE CARS
Year: 1971 Colour: Red Awards:

My Story: Purchased car in Texas in early 2013. Engine was a dud and has now been replaced with a new 401 from Tuff Dawg engines in Pheonix AZ. Less than 1000 miles on new engine.

Paint and Bodywork: Paint & bodywork is typical USA paintwork. Is a long way from show quality but fantastic to look at as a driver quality car. 2 out of 5

Interior/AudioVisual: Interior was replaced in the USA before import. RED & BLACK custom seats and inserts are a litrtle bright but work very well. Very comfortable. Dash is 90% all original pieces - after market 1980s radio with tape deck.

Wheels & Undercar: Chrome 15 inch Magnum 500’s all round

Engine & Underbonnet: Forged steel crank
5.858" forged connecting rods reconditioned with ARP rod bolts
9.8 to 1 compression pistons
More special features of this engine include:
Block is sonic tested
Forged steel crankshaft
